Step inside PLAYDATE NYC, a unique culinary and cultural experience for our guests. Located in the heart of Flushing, our unique store combines the tastes of our neighborhood with a sprinkle of pop art personality and an aisle of games inspired by the night markets on the other side of the world.
This idea originated from a group of friends who combined their knack for playing, exploring and eating in Asia with their American upbringing. We wanted to bring everything we loved into one place so that anyone and everyone in NY could feel that sense of vibrancy and connectedness that we felt while abroad.

Hi, i'm Farah, the designer behind NaazDesignCo. I'm a Creative Director at heart and a boy mom X2! Making jewelry has always been a passion for me since college. I've played with so many different materials and have recently fallen in love with polymer clay and how creative and expressive it allows me to be. Each piece is made in small batches with patterns and combinations that are one of a kind. My draw my inspiration from my parents. My mom a, seamstress and my dad, an artist. Creativity has always run in our family and they are the driving force behind everything I have done in my career. Hope you enjoy the collections as much as I do!
Teaching holds a personal place in my heart with my husband being a pre-k teacher. I'm grateful to be able to support a charity that means a lot to me and my family.

Care for your earrings: Earrings should be worn after you put on any perfume or make-up. In case brass findings or components start to tarnish you can make them look like new by taking white distilled vinegar and dabbing/wiping the piece with a cotton swab.
Lara's Design
We specialize in classic and contemporary handcrafted beaded jewelry, made from quality materials from all over the world. Each piece of our beautiful jewelry is designed and handcrafted using a wide variety of beads such as; crystal, pearl, glass, wood, metal, resin, precious and semi-precious stones.
About the Artist
Beads and gems, fashion and crafting have fascinated Lara Danmola from an early age. Her passion for this beautiful art started in 1990 as a hobby for personal expression and satisfaction, which quickly became an addictive hobby. She found it to be fun, relaxing and rewarding. To enhance her knowledge about her new passion, she attended several jewelry making courses from great establishments like Jewelry Art Institute New York, F.I.T, Newark Museum and Y.M.C.A. New York City.
Through trial and error, Lara developed her own styles. Eventually she started designing and making more jewelry during the holiday seasons, giving them to family and friends as holiday gifts. The rest were sold at a craft shop in Flemington, New Jersey. She has been designing and making jewelry since then. Her particular specialties include custom designing and making unique pieces using gemstone and precious metals. Lara has also taught jewelry making at club workshops, birthday parties, her local Michaels craft store and was a visiting craft instructor at Seton Hall University. Nowadays she happily divides her time between designing and making jewelry, learning, teaching and parenting. Lara lives in NJ with her wonderfully supportive husband.

We believe that play activates curiosity and education empowers. Our handmade products are pay-what-you-wish: 100% of profits are donated directly to charities focused on education. Harmony By Haley is a small, feminist embroidery business centered around advocating for a better world through empowering messages and mutual aid efforts. Starting as a way to safely keep herself busy during the pandemic while helping others, Haley opened her shop at the end of 2020 with 15% of profits on all products going directly to mutual aid organizations. Quickly, it became a full business and now she wants to give one of her crewnecks and stickers to you!

Meet Carolina and Daniela de Pontes, the twin sisters and artists behind Duo Denim. Duo was a way for us, as artists, to feel like we had a say in what we were wearing, and made every outfit feel like an expression of ourselves as individuals. It allowed us to take our art with us wherever we go, and we want to make sure every client that we work with has the same opportunity to do so. Duo also served as an opportunity for Carolina and Daniela, who study different disciplines at Pratt, to integrate their distinct studies and collaborate on ideas and projects that they aren't able to at school.

Custom Collaborative is a New York City-based entrepreneurship and workforce development program that trains and supports women from low-income and immigrant communities to launch fashion careers and businesses. By learning the standard techniques and ethical business practices of the fashion industry, our participants professionalize their sewing and design skills, overcome barriers to employment, change the economics of the industry, and empower new leaders in fashion.
Custom Collaborative envisions a global women’s apparel industry in which garment makers are fairly compensated for their labor and consumers have access to well-made, sustainably sourced clothes that fit and affirm all bodies.
Custom Collaborative trains, mentors, and advocates for and with no/low-income and immigrant women to build the skills necessary to achieve economic success in the sustainable fashion industry and broader society.

Category 5: Art
Artist, Emelia Dennis, started creating artworks as a child but truly began studying art in high school. Dennis graduated in May 2020 from Hendrix College with an art degree. After graduation Dennis began her art business, Painting or Bust. She creates art that explores a wide range of styles to continue her education and specializes in digital drawing and acrylic painting.
Painting or Bust is a play on the mediums of paint and ceramics (ceramic busts) and the idea that Dennis will be an Artist or “bust” at life.

The custom painting will be hand painted with watercolor and ink. The winner will receive 1 custom pet portrait that is 5 inches by 7 inches in size. The winner is responsible for providing Tiny Cloud Creations with appropriate and clear reference pictures for 1 pet as well as the pet's name in a timely manner. To preserve the painting, please avoid water or moisture contact with the painting. The pet portrait will be unframed and placed in the mail to the winner within 2 weeks after Tiny Cloud Creations receives all necessary reference pictures and information to complete the custom painting.
Each item will be mailed to the winner via USPS with stamps so there will not be a tracking number provided and Tiny Cloud Creations is not responsible for any delays or the loss of the package by USPS. Shipping costs (up to $20) are free, available internationally.
