College Access Workshops
We are proud to offer our 5-workshop series to all students and families at COVE and beyond! These workshops were designed and will be delivered by two financial aid professionals who combined have attended and/or worked at CUNY, the University of Virginia, Amherst College, Harvard University, and Columbia University. They have been affiliated both as students and as volunteers with a number of college access organizations including QuestBridge and 1vyG with a specific focus on the experiences of First Generation/Low Income (FGLI) students and other marginalized groups, and they are excited to share information that will be especially valuable to these groups as well.
Our second workshop, "FAFSA 101," will take place 7:00-8:30 PM EST on Tuesday, February 16th, 2021.
During summer 2020, many in-person summer camps were canceled due to COVID-19. In response to this, COVE put together a free virtual summer camp to keep kids engaged and enriched throughout the school vacation!
Our tutors offered a series of virtual classes, both academic and experiential/creative, over two 5 - week sessions. Classes included Intro to 3D Printing, Dance to Your Own Beat: Dances of South Asia and Beyond, Game Design with Scratch, Human Rights and Activism, and many more!
